Exercise Physiology

Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are university qualified allied health professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies in designing and delivering safe and effective exercise and healthy lifestyle programs. AEPs use exercise as they're primary intervention to prevent, manage and treat a number of health conditions, injuries or disabilities, as well as improve general health and quality of life.

At Align Health & Movement, we regularly see clients to manage the following
  • Musculoskeletal injuries and joint replacement
  • Metabolic conditions such as Diabetes
  • Mental health conditions
  • Healthy ageing and falls prevention
  • Overweight or obesity
  • Respiratory conditions

Our AEP will conduct an initial assessment with you to determine a suitable program or treatment plan, specifically focussing on your individual needs and goals. Your program may include individual exercise consultations, group exercise sessions, a home exercise program or some lifestyle modifications to assist you reach your goals.

Your progress will be monitored and program updated to reflect your progress. You will be a part of any decision making to keep you motivated and accountable to your goals.
